Welcome to Mesa Farm Mental Health

Who Am I?

Hello! My name is Molly and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Therapist, working in Vermont. I have lived here for 13 years, and have spent that time learning about and loving Vermont and the people here.

I graduated from UVM with a Bachelors of Anthropology and finished my Masters of Social Work in 2021. I have spent the time thereafter, working with women who have experienced domestic and sexual violence. I have experience working with and treating those who live with PTSD and Complex PTSD, as well as treating Substance Use Disorders and the broad spectrum of mental health diagnoses. I offer EMDR to help treat the symptoms of PTSD.

It’s my passion to walk alongside people as they make empowered decisions for their lives. I can help you identify new ways of coping and support you in your understanding of how past experiences or traumas impact you today. Through EMDR, individual counseling and trauma informed treatment planning, we can work together so you feel empowered to build a more grounded and sustainable path forward.

Due to my experience training Department of Corrections staff, and other community partners, I am uniquely poised to offer consultations to organizations in a variety of contexts on the topics of trauma informed care, systems of power and control, and identifying interventions for clients who are experiencing exploitation.

If you’re interested in working together as an individual therapy client or as a consultation client, please reach out! You can also schedule a free 20 minute consultation, and any other appointments through the website. I am looking forward to connecting with you!

My Services

  • No cost

I offer a free 20 minute consultation with either prospective therapy clients or general consultation clients to understand what it is you are looking for.

For therapy clients, this is the time for you to determine whether or not I am the right fit for you. Therapy is inherently personal, and you are in control of this next step. I encourage you to ask me questions!

For general consultations, this is the time for you to lay the groundwork for the goals you are hoping to accomplish through consultation, whether or not this would be an ongoing arrangement or a one time educational session.

  • $120

I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield and Medicaid. For private pay, and those out of network my rate is $120, for which I can offer either a sliding scale or Superbill. We will work together to determine what is affordable and sustainable for you.

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a therapeutic intervention designed to treat trauma. If you have questions about EMDR or would like to learn more, please reach out with any questions, or book a free consultation.

  • $150

I offer 52 minute consultation sessions for clinicians and programs looking for clarity and resources on Trauma Informed Care, and supporting clients and staff on improving literacy around patterns of power and control, identifying coercive control, and developing intervention and safety plans for staff and clients.

    What is EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a well-researched and evidence based treatment designed to help individuals living with symptoms of trauma. It was developed by Francine Shapiro in 1987, and has been used ever since to help people heal from the devastating affects of all types of trauma.

How did you start working with people who live with trauma?

I spent 10 years off and on working in the only women’s prison in Vermont. I was there full time for 4.5 years serving women who had experienced domestic and sexual violence and human trafficking. The people there taught me that trauma does not discriminate, and that humans are inherently resilient. We are capable of incredible healing when we have the right resources and support in our communities.

Why is it called Mesa Farm Mental Health?

I spent part of my childhood growing up in Arizona, and part of it in Maine. I’ve also spent all of my adult life in Vermont, so all of those elements fit so nicely when I was thinking about a name for the practice.
